Where there is elephant dung there are elephants

Botter suggested a ride through the mountains today. We hadn't gone far when we came across a road hazard I don't often encounter in Seattle: elephant dung. I hoped we might come across an elephant that I could ride and few minutes later my wish was fulfilled. The driver kindly let me ride him for a few moments.

Mounting the elephant proved tricky.

But once on board I was an old hand (not really.)

Dismounting was only slightly less awkward than mounting.

Botter on his 70cc Honda Scooter. I was impressed with his ability to navigate the roads and trails. Some of it was tough going and required pushing up hill.

Admiring the view. The Yamaha dwarfs the Honda.

A hill tribe girl.

The camera can't do it justice.
